Business Good Fortune

When people think of "good fortune" and business, there can be a tendency to think of this purely in terms of finance. Of course "good fortune" and "wealth" are more than simply cash generation for many businesses. In building a business brand a company may seek to consider many other factors including the well being of employees, corporate social responsibility, their creativity as a business to evolve and produce new products, and to be the best in their field. All of these longer term considerations will of course lead to further wealth generation. In the era of cyberspace companies such as Google and Apple, they have literally redefined working environments and created a series of products and services that have revolutionised how we interact.

Some people who run their own businesses spend all their time 'working in the business" and not enough time "working on the business", which means that despite their best intentions they never fully experience the good fortune that can come from creating a business that actually pays great dividends without even having to be physically present! I worked in the recruitment business for almost two decades and lost count of the number of people who considered themselves "stuck" in their current position and would certainly not consider themselves as having "good fortune" Often they had not learned or developed strategies to make this essential shift or simply could not recognise when an opportunity appeared in front of them.

The Art of Good Fortune in Business explores the strategies, tools and insights that assist in producing excellence in business. The emphasis is on producing measurable outcomes that match either you or your company's business vision.
